Through careful planning and execution, production is made both fun and rewarding.
During the 70's, Jay Lininger envisioned an opportunity for a small typesetting company to turn from a dependancy on large and often proprietary front end systems to embracing the emerging technology of desk-top. This provided publishers the ability to address the long standing need to "control" (work with and change) their content. Combining his vision with his wife Paula's organizational and administrative skills, they started a typesetting service strategically located in York, PA. Through the following three decades, Matrix Publishing Services has been a premier provider of prepress services to the publishing industry by taking advantage of the enormous pool of talent unique to this area, being attentive to our customers and being exceedingly responsive in performance. In November of 2006, Doug Ward and Julie Quickel bought Matrix Publishing Services. As new owners and equal partners, they have elected to maintain the successful structure of the company — a moderate size firm, streamlined to be competitive in a global market. In December of the same year, Jade Myers bought Matrix Art Services a sister company Jay and Paula created with Jade in 1999 that specializes in art creation. Jade was given responsibility for all aspects of Matrix Art from the start and will continue with his philosophy of creating art in such an efficient manner that it allows for his pricing, speed and accuracy to be the best in the industry. Whether working independently or jointly, both companies recognize that our employees are our strength and our customers are our lifeblood. To that end, we subscribe to the business adage, "it is amazing what can get done so long as no one is much concerned with who gets the credit."
